In the first match of preparation for the World Cup 2023, the National Team was defeated by Japan (1-2), in a game that featured the benfiquistas Carole Costa, Ana Seiça and Jéssica Silva in the starting XI.

The national coach Francisco Neto launched Andreia Norton (62'), and Catarina Amado and Francisca Nazareth, at 73'.

In front of 9758 fans, a new attendance record in National Team matches,  Rute Costa, Sílvia Rebelo and Lúcia Alves had no minutes.

Also this Friday, Christy Ucheibe participated in Nigeria’s triumph over Haiti (2-1). Benfica's midfielder came on at 79'.

Ana Vitória was not in Pia Sundhage's options in the Finalíssima between Brazil and England, played on Thursday, April 6, which the Brazilian national team lost in the penalty shootout (4-2), after a draw in regulation time (1-1).
