Author of two of the goals with which Benfica defeated Marítimo in Funchal (0-3) this Sunday, March 12, David Neres was considered the Man of the Match in the clash of matchday 24 of the Liga Bwin. 

"We knew it was going to be a very tough game, so we came in to play another final and were rewarded with a great win", claimed Neres.

Due to the absence of Gonçalo Guedes and Rafa, Roger Schmidt opted to field the Brazilian international in a more central position in the attack.

"Yes, I have been doing this position for a few games now, so I am adapting and happy to be able to play in several positions and help my team", he said.
