António Silva, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's central defender, won the Liga Bwin's Best Defender of the Month award for October/November. The athlete nurtured at the club collected 33.33% of the votes of the competition's head coaches.

With 540 minutes in the six matches played by the team in the period under evaluation, António Silva contributed, also with two goals, to the 16 points scored (in 18 possible) against Vitória SC (a), Rio Ave (h), FC Porto (a), Chaves (h), Estoril (a) and Gil Vicente (h).

In this distinction, the young Portuguese international surpassed his teammate Grimaldo and Basso (Arouca), who respectively had 12.7% and 7.94% of the votes cast by the coaches.

António Silva, remember, had already been considered the Best Defender of the Liga Bwin in september.
