Samuel Soares, goalkeeper of the professional football squad of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, signed a 5-year contract renewal, until 2027.

At the end of 2021/22 season he celebrated the UEFA Youth League title, and also won the U20 Intercontinental Cup, in Montevideo, against Peñarol. This season, Samuel Soares played seven games already with the B team.

"It is a sense of pride, and it shows the confidence placed in me. I hope to meet the club’s expectations with a lot of work, good displays, and titles with the red jersey", wished Samuel Soares in BTV.
