The UEFA Women's Champions League Round 2 draw, that took place on September 1st, in Nyon, dictated that Benfica will face Rangers, from Scotland, with the first leg being held in Glasgow.

Played in two games, in Benfica's case on September 20 (7:30 pm, at Ibrox Stadium) and September 28 (7:30 pm, at Benfica Campus), this round decides the 12 teams that advance to the Women's Champions League group stage, where already are Lyon (champion), Barcelona, Chelsea and Wolfsburg.

In the 1st Round, group 8, Benfica beat Hajvalia (9-0), from Kosovo, in the semi-finals and Twente (1-2) in the final.
