Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that the 300 000 membership card was issued in the last hours, even if the total volume of members, in real terms, is inferior: 267 000.

The mandatory renumeration required by the statutes was completed in 2015 and the next one takes place in 2025 or, if it matches the end of the current governing bodies’ mandate, on the following year.

The Club welcomes the adhesion and commitment of all fans during a period marked by different restrictions when attending the games due to COVID-19.

Sport Lisboa e Benfica thanks all the Benfiquistas, in Portugal and overseas, for the vivacity and passion, with a growing number of members who make the Benfiquista Family so proud.

Benfica’s number 1 member celebrates 100 years

Jaime João Avelino da Silva, number 1 member of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, celebrates this Friday, November 10, 100 years of age. Affiliated since 1938, lives in Estoi, in the municipality of Faro. On November 13, 2022, he received his membership card with the number 1 from the hands of the President Rui Costa, at the Presidential Box of the Estádio da Luz, during a game of the professional football team.
