Benfica now knows its opponent in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League. The reds, one of the seeded teams, will face the winner of the clash between Midtjylland and AEK Larnaca.

Simão Sabrosa (director of Benfica's International Relations): "Benfica will have to face the opponent with all seriousness and rigor. It is not yet known which one it will be, but any of these two teams will have the greatest merit against Benfica. Our team is focused for this first match and we are waiting for the opponent. We will focus on what we are doing and prepare in the best way possible for the match. It's clear to everyone that the squad is working very well and assimilating the coach's ideas with quality, as has been seen in pre-season. The opponent will receive our utmost respect."
