Darwin, the Benfica forward, was voted the Best Player of the Liga Bwin in April, in a distinction promoted by the Players' union.

In the five matches in April (against Braga, B SAD, Sporting, Famalicão and Marítimo), the League's top scorer scored six goals and provided two assists.

Benfica's number 9 gathered 16,66% of the votes, beating Ricardo Horta (13,13%) and Matheus (12,48%), both from SC Braga.
