In one of the theoretically most tricky away matches, Benfica's women's football team went to Madeira on Mother's Day to thrash Marítimo by 1-6 in a game from matchday 11 of the Liga BPI championship round. The eagles are three "finals" away from successfully defending the national title.

With 33 points, Benfica tops the league table, after 11 wins in 11 matches. Next up is the derby against Sporting, on Sunday, May 8, at Estádio da Luz  (6:00 pm).

The party for the historic fifth title in a row!

Historic day for Benfica and Portuguese football! On Saturday, April 12, the Inspiradoras celebrated winning the fifth national championship in a row after beating Valadares Gaia 0-3, on matchday 20 of the Liga BPI, with goals from Christy Ucheibe (29'), Cristina Prieto (42') and Beatriz Cameirão (75'). A trophy that they have added to the League Cup. Fervent in their support for the team, the Benfiquistas gave color to the celebration at the Estádio Dr. Jorge Sampaio, painted red and white. For the 5th consecutive season, Benfica have secured the national title. The celebrations took place after the victory over Valadares Gaia (0-3) in round 20 of the Liga BPI.

Liga BPI: Best Coaching Staff in October and November

With five wins in as many games played by Benfica in the competition during October and November 2024, coach Filipa Patão received the award for Best Coaching Staff in the Liga BPI - which she leads with a 100 percent winning record. The coach was grateful for the award, praising “a group that works every day to try to be better”. "I think this team has always been very ambitious and has always been hungry for titles, to win more, to look forward and to put new goals on the table. That's the secret," said the coach of the four-time national champions. Filipa Patão also received the most votes in August and September.
