FC Midtjylland is Benfica's opponent in the last 16 of the UEFA Youth League.

The match between the two emblems will take place in Denmark, on March 1 or 2, at a time yet to be determined.

During the ceremony, the eagles also found out the match schedule until the final, which will take place at the Colovray Stadium on April 25. Should Benfica advance to the quarterfinals, they will once again play away against one of two familiar opponents: Dinamo Kiev, their opponent in the group stage, or Sporting. 

The final four of the competition – stage in which Benfica has been present on three occasions (2013/14, 2016/17 and 2019/20 seasons) – takes place - Colovray Stadium, in Nyon.

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.

A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
