UEFA's Refereeing Committee has named the Italian referee Daniele Orsato, international since 2010, for the game from matchday 2 of the Champions League group E between Benfica and Barcelona at 8 pm on Wednesday, September 29 at Estádio da Luz.

 

 The remaining refereeing team consists of Alessandro Giallatini and Ciro Carbone as assistant referees and Daniele Doveri as fourth official.

The Italian Massimiliano Irrati will be the video referee (VAR) and he will be assisted by the Englishman Chris Kavanagh (AVAR).
