Fernando Pimenta, canoeist of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, reached the K1 1000 final in the canoe sprint World Championships, which takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark, between September 16 and 19.

After the bronze medal at the Olympics in Tokio, Fernando Pimenta won the 2nd qualifying round with 3:58,52, beating the German Martin Hiller and the Danish Rene Poulsen, 2nd and 3rd positioned.

The K1 1000 final is scheduled for next Saturday, September 18, at 11:22 am (10:22 am in Portugal).
