Soualiho Meïthe, a 27-year-old midfielder, was officially presented this Saturday, on the pitch of Estádio da Luz, next to President Rui Costa. He signed until 2026, will wear the number 11 jersey and considered that "Benfica is more than a club". 

Amazed at the greatness of the Club

"My first impression was to be surprised. Benfica is more than a club. It is a family, it is a group in which everyone is united. When I first walked into the dressing room, all the players came up to me and congratulated me and said, 'You're going to do well here.'"

Taarabt, the host

"I spoke with Adel [Taarabt] in the first training session because we speak the same language [French], but also because we have things in common."

"I already knew him. [Jorge Jesus] Is a demanding coach, but that's good for the team. Now we will work to be ready for the beginning of the season."

"I don't like football where you only have to defend. I like to play with the ball and I can already see that the coach has the same ideas for the team by talking to him about the tactics. It is something that is good for me. Now it's all about working and giving my best"
