Fernando Pimenta, João Ribeiro and Messias Baptista, canoeists of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, became National Champions this Sunday. The event took place at the High-Performance Center, em Montemor-o-Velho.

Fernando Pimenta was the fastest in K1 1000 meters, completing the distance in 03:34.571. The canoeist also participated in the A final of K1 500 meters, finishing in 2nd place, with the time of 01:43.100.

João Ribeiro participated in the A finals of K1 500 meters and K1 200 meters. In the greater distance, he won the gold medal, with a time of 01:42.096. In K1 200 meters, the benfiquista finished in 4th place, with 37.189.

Messias Baptista, another Eagle in the National Championship, took the highest place on the podium in K1 200 meters, finishing the event in 36.652.
