This Monday, June 28, the pre-season works for SL Benfica's B football team have started, marked by physical tests and medical exams. On June 30, Wednesday, training begins and the first preparation match is scheduled for July 10.

The preparation for the 2021/22 season started with 27 athletes reporting to work. During the morning, the usual physical tests were performed at Benfica Campus, followed by medical tests at Hospital da Luz in the afternoon. 

Tuesday and Wednesday morning will be occupied by more physical tests and medical exams at Benfica Campus, Hospital da Luz and Benfica Clinic.

On Wednesday afternoon, at Seixal, the team meeting will be held, and then the first training session of the new season, which starts on August 8, the planned day for the first round of the 2nd Division (Liga Portugal SABSEG).

"The physical tests are important for us to see where we stand and, from here, to be able to define both individual and collective goals to face the upcoming season", assesses midfielder Martim Neto (pictured below).

Monday marked the start of the pre-season work of Sport Lisboa e Benfica's B team in preparation for the 2022/23 season. The usual medical exams, evaluations - nutrition, physiotherapy and psychology - and physical tests took place throughout the morning of this Monday, June 27, between Hospital da Luz and Benfica Campus.
