The Portuguese national team beat Hungary (0-3), with the Benfica footballer having a hand in all three goals.
15 June 2021, 18h52
The SL Benfica came on at 71' to replace Bernardo Silva and changed the game. He provided the assist for Raphael Guerreiro in the 0-1 and Cristiano Ronaldo in the 0-3, and he suffered the penalty that resulted in the 0-2 also converted by Portugal's number 7.
In addition to Rafa and Bernardo Silva, it is worth mentioning the presence of several elements that went through the Eagles' academy: Nélson Semedo, Rúben Dias, Danilo and Renato Sanches.
Rafa: "We were lacking a goal in the opportunities we had, but then we made it. It was good for us, we started the tournament well. We knew they were going to try to defend as best they could, and they did a good job, and try to come out on the counter-attack to create problems for us, but we managed that phase well, scored the goals and won. Every victory is decisive, it is important that we go game after game and try to win every game."
