In the left flank of the women's football team of Benfica a full-back was "born" in the 2020/21 season. Versatile, Lúcia Alves established herself, contributed to the historic conquest of the National Championship and has now extended her link to the Club until 2024.

"It is a very good feeling to continue with this symbol and to be able to win trophies with it", reacted the footballer born in Paredes 23 years ago.

The next season brings new challenges, as is the case of the second participation in the Champions League. "We were national champions  and we reached the Champions League with all merit. In this second year in the Champions League we want to do as much as possible", claimed Lúcia Alves.

For three days, between April 14 and 16, Benfica Campus hosted the 1st edition of the Goalkeeper Experience, an initiative that allowed 20 boys and girls, born between 2007 and 2012, to develop and perfect their sporting performance as goalkeepers, according to SL Benfica's training methodology. Five-time champions in celebration

The newly crowned five-time national champions, Benfica's women's football team, were present at the Benfica Official Store at the Estádio da Luz on Tuesday afternoon, April 15. The Inspiradoras interacted with the many fans who lined up - some even waited more than two hours for the session to start - and who didn't waste the opportunity to talk to the protagonists of the historic feat and remember the moment with photographs. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone left satisfied. “Filipa, you're the best coach in the world,” said one Benfica fan.
