Three shots on target, two goals! Seferovic scored a brace in Benfica's win over Boavista at Estádio da Luz, on matchday 23 of the Liga NOS, and was named the "Man of the Match".

The Reds' top scorer in the edition of the Championship (13 goals), the Swiss international valued the quality displayed by the team on the Cathedral turf. 

"I feel very good, but the important thing is that the team is doing well, we are playing well, so we are scoring goals", highlighted Seferovic, who in this match scored twice after assists from Diogo Gonçalves.

"The merit goes to the whole team. Diogo made two top assists and I was there. We are playing well, as a team, that's what counts. Three points, one game at a time by game", claimed the left-footed player.

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.

António Silva was the spokesman for the Benfica team that booked their ticket to the Portuguese Cup final after beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final. The central defender scored the first goal of the game.

A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
