Chiquinho: "The goal was achieved"

Chiquinho scored a brace, was one of the standout performers and helped Benfica beat CF Estrela (0-4) in the round of 16 of the Portuguese Cup.

The reds' midfielder, aged 25, was a starter, opened the scoring at Estádio José Gomes at 42' and completed his brace at 62' with an excellent strike inside the box. Chiquinho was pleased with the goals scored, but said that the most important was the qualification for the next round – Benfica will face, in the quarterfinals quartos, the winner of the Fafe-Belenenses SAD match.

"It felt good. The most important thing was to go through to the next round. The goal was achieved and we are all to be congratulated. Individually I have been working well, however, the key was to win, and we managed to do it", he stressed.
