Jorge Jesus: "We must do our obligation"

Benfica finishes, this Thursday (5:55 pm), the group stage of the Europa League, knowing that the qualification for the Round of 32 is guaranteed, by also that the group top spot is still within grasp.

Benfica will play in Belgium already with the qualification guaranteed. Which opponent do you expect to find now, compared to the one who played at Estádio da Luz?

Our match against Standard Liège at Estádio da Luz was one of the best we did in the Group. We won by 3-0, the result gave the idea that this team is not very strong, but that is not true. Belgian football has some quality, which is why we see teams from the Belgian championship fighting for qualification in the Champions League and teh Europa League. We are qualified for the next phase, but we have to do our obligation, which is to try to win to be the first in the Group.

Benfica already beat its record of goals scored in a group stage of the Europa League[16 goals scored so far], being one of the most prolific teams in this edition. Does this say much about the character of this group?

We are a team with a very objective and safe idea, we have a more offensive approach than a defensive one, but it also makes us concede more goals than we and the fans would like. I believe that with an offensive mentality we get closer to winning.
