Jorge Jesus, the Benfica coach, previewed the game from matchday 8 of the Liga NOS. The match is scheduled for 7 pm this Monday, at the Estádio do Marítimo.

What can Benfica expect in a traditionally difficult ground and against a Marítimo team who, this season, has already won away at FC Porto?

We will play at the difficult ground, Marítimo usually has good squads. What Benfica can we expect to find? Like all teams, Benfica is looking for ways to be increasingly better. Benfica will make a game with the responsibility that all games have and with the confidence of knowing that it has the capacity to get three points in Funchal. The match will be hard-fought, like all are. I wont be easy, we are aware of that, but we are prepared for the difficulties. Benfica's responsibility is to win and keep racking up points so it can regain the position it once had, which is the first place, where it was until matchday 5.
