Two matches, two wins! That is Benfica's record in Group D of the Europa League. The  triumph over Standard Liège (3-0) was another important step towards the team's growth, confessed Otamendi, one of the captains of Clube da Luz. 

"We did a great match. We always tried to attack and we were very well defensively. We worked very well and we deserved the win. We created many goal chances, but they defended well. It was important to keep up the rhythm and have patience", he remembered. 

Benfica-Standard Liège 

"For me, it is a privilege to be a captain. My teammates continue to help me in my adaptation. The coach provides my guidance so that the team works in the best way. We played well and I'm enjoying it on the pitch", he finished.
