PREVIEW

Jorge Jesus launched, in a press conference at the  Benfica Campus, the game from matchday 2 of Group D of the Europa League, against Standard Liège, scheduled for 8 pm on Thursday, at  Estádio da Luz .

As a coach, what do you think about this return of the supporters to Estádio da Luz?

We all want football to have supporters, within what is possible, of course. It is a good start because in a stadium with 65 thousand seats if there are four or five thousand people, it will certainly not interfere with the defense of health. The stadiums have everything to be able to solve and divide people by the various sectors because there are several entrances. With a well-made organization, I don't think it puts anything at risk, which is what we want. I'm very happy that tomorrow [Thursday] we already have some spectators at Estádio da Luz.

Jorge Jesus

In the last match of the Championship who fielded Seferovic and Darwin due Belenenses SAD's tactical system and compared with Standard Liège's tactical system. We can expect a re-edition of that partnership or your preference lies with the partnership Waldschmidt-Darwin?

I'm not sure because I'm going to carry out the first training session with the players who played against Belenenses SAD and I don't know how they are in physical terms, but I have it in my head and if everything goes according to plan, I will make changes. I will launch Gabriel, as well as other players.

Do the five wins in five games in the Liga NOS put Standard Liège on the back foot?

I think that Benfica always imposes respect, because it has a history in Portugal and international history, particularly in Europe, despite having lost the identity it had been keeping for having reached the final of the Europa League and the quarter-finals of the Champions League, with me and with other coaches. Benfica is looking to find a way to reach the finals of one of these competitions and win them.
