Luisão: "Jorge Jesus' work is one of the best in the world"

STATEMENTS

He represented Benfica as a player for 15 years. Between 2003 and 2018, he made 538 appearances (always as a starter). Two years later, Luisão assumes the role of technical director and performance in Professional Football, in the cycle that opens with the return of coach Jorge Jesus.

"I face this return to active duty with that little knot my belly that was already missing. In these two years, I learned a lot representing the Club as ambassador - and I will also continue as ambassador, but now closer to Benfica Campus, living the daily life with the squad, with the objectives of the Club and the gaffer. I join as technical director and performance to link all departments with my experience and vision of football", revealed the former Benfica skipper to BTV, at the end of the presentation ceremony of Jorge Jesus.

"Jorge Jesus' work is one of the best in the world. From the experience of the years I've worked with the gaffer, Benfica's identity can be recovered, as can the resumption of the development of the Benfica player, because that's what we can't give up this year", commented Luisão.
