Nélson Veríssimo: "We'll do all we can to celebrate at the end"

SL Benfica and FC Porto play the Portuguese Cup final at 8:45 pm on Saturday, August 1, at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra. The coach Nélson Veríssimo launched the match in a press conference.

Do you expect a game against FC Porto different from the two in the Championship? What must Benfica do to win and lift the 27th Portuguese Cup in its history?

Benfica must play has it has played in the last matches, knowing beforehand that this will be a game of added complexity. The top two in the Portuguese League will face each other, so, it will be an extremely difficult match, but we'll step onto the pitch with the natural ambition of a club with Benfica's magnitude: win the title up for grabs.

Your future is not yet defined. Can winning this trophy help define it?

Honestly, my future is the least of my worries. What has guided us in the last five matches and more is to prepare the team in the best way to win each match. We have reached the end of the season. An important title for Benfica is up for grabs, the focus on that and we will do all we can to celebrate at the end.
