Estádio da Luz, the home ground of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, is the 30th most valuable in the world, according to the 2020 ranking of the Brand Finance consultancy, made public this Wednesday.

It is the only Portuguese venue among the 60 best-rated football stadiums on the planet. 

In a standing led by Hotspur Stadium, Tottenham's venue, Estádio da Luz received an average of 59 points in the key parameters: 55 for the experience, 54 for the capacity to generate revenues and 72 for the impact.

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique!
