Hugo Félix, aged 16 (03.03.2004), penned a professional contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica. He will start his sixth season at the Club.

Versatile, he can play as a midfielder and as forward and will be a U-17 player in the 2020/21 season. Last season, he made his debut in the U-17 National Championship, he played two matches and scored one goal.

In 2019/20, he was the top scorer of the Reds U-16s in the Regional Championship, with 13 goals. Last season, the record of Hugo Félix was the following: 17 matches and 14 goals.

He is a international with Portugal's youth team, he has 10 caps and two goals (U-15: 5 matches and 1 goal; U-16: 5 matches and 1 goals).

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.

A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
