Jota, 20-year-old forward, renewed contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica until 2024. the youngster joined the eagles through the Geração Benfica Soccer Schools.

“It's really good. It's the recognition of my work by Benfica. I'm very happy, my family's happy too. May this contract last many years and with many successes”, he claimed, in statements with BTV.

The debut with Benfica's first team took place on October 18, 2018, in the match against Sertanense (0-3) in the 3rd round of the Portuguese Cup, at Estádio Cidade de Coimbra. He played 13 minutes.
