Pizzi was named the Best Player in the Liga NOS in the month of December, with 37,76% of the votes from the Portuguese top-flight managers. 

The Benfica midfielder repeats the distinction for the second time this 2019/20 season – after winning the prize in August– in a month in which he scored two goals and delivered two assists in the two matches carried out by the reds [Boavista and FC Famalicão].

Pizzi – who had already been elected the Best Midfielder of December in the Liga NOS – gathered 37,76 percent of the votes, ahead of his teammate Vinícius (18,18) and of Edwards (10,49), from Vitória de Guimarães.
