In 2019/20, the National Championship under Bruno Lage has the best point tally ever after 14 rounds of the Championship, since (in 1995/96) the victory is worth three points.

Benfica spent this Christmas with the best point tally after 14 rounds. The Reds bagged 39 points in 2019/20, the result of 13 wins, with a total of 37 goals scored and only five conceded.

The Eagles are at the top of the table, four points clear of FC Porto and 13 clear of Sporting.

Benfica also has the best attack, the best defense, the top scorers (Pizzi and Vinícius, both with 11 goals) and also two of the three players with the most assists delivered in the competition (Pizzi, with seven, and Grimaldo, with six).

So let's look at the last decade, where since 2009/10 Benfica has won six national titles.
