Vinícius is the winner of the GOAL OF MONTH of September for the Benfica supporters who voted through the Official Website.

In total, the Benfica players scored six goals in September, in the four matches carried out in the Liga NOS. Vinícius' goal, at home, against Vitória de Setúbal (1-0), gathered 56,41% of the votes – beating his teammates Pizzi (SC Braga and Gil Vicente), Rafa (Moreirense) and Seferovic (Moreirense) – and earned him the prize for best goal of the month of September in the competition, received on Tuesday.

“It's very rewarding to win these individual awards, but if it weren't for the team, the group, I believe none of this would have happened. The three points are the most important thing, whether it's with a goal scored by me or by another player”, highlighted the 24-year- Brazilian in statements with BTV.

“It was a good play. I was in a good spot and finished the play. Thank God the ball got in, happiness for all. It was a unique feeling to be contributing directly to the team after returning from an injury”, he claimed.

“It's always a dream to score at Estádio da Luz, all players dream with that, and I am no different”, confessed the Benfica striker, who already scored two goals in five matches in the Liga NOS.
