It was with 24 goals without reply that Benfica made its debut in the Portuguese women's football top flight (Liga BPI), in the match against GDC A-dos-Francos at the Estádio da Tapadinha.

Benfica's starting lineup: Dani, Daiane, Sílvia Rebelo, Raquel Infante (46' Geyse), Yasmin, Pauleta (46' Ana Vitória), Andreia Faria, Darlene, Evy Pereira (46' Catarina Amado), Cloe (65' Annaysa), and Lúcia Alves.

Unused substitutes: Dida, Ana Seiça and Patrícia Llanos.
