Day 1 of the pre-season between Estádio da Luz and Caixa Futebol Campus

The 2019/20 season has kicked off. The first day of the new season of the National Champion Benfica was divided between Estádio da Luz and Caixa Futebol Campus, in Seixal, where the usual medicals and the physical test took place.

Cádiz – the Venezuelan new signing – was the first to arrive at Estádio da Luz, the venue that also welcomed Jota, Krovinovic, Nuno Tavares, Pedro Álvaro, Salvio, Svilar, Tiago Dantas, Tyronne Ebuehi, André Almeida, Yuri Ribeiro, and Zlobin.

At Caixa Futebol Campus, the other battery of physical tests was carried out with the second working group. The coach Bruno Lage was the first to arrive at Seixal. Caio Lucas, Cervi, Nuno Santos, Taarabt, Ferro, David Tavares, Conti, Florentino, Gabriel, Grimaldo, and Jardel composed the group that worked in the headquarters of the red squad.

In the afternoon part of this first day of work the roles are reversed: the players who were in the morning at Estádio da Luz continue the physical tests at the Caixa Futebol Campus and vice versa.

The work on the pitches of  Seixal will start as of Wednesday, July 3, with two daily training sessions, three days before the training session open to the public (Saturday, July 6, at Caixa Futebol Campus).
