Sport Lisboa e Benfica hosted and beat FC Arouca (2-1), in a match from the 4th round of the Portuguese Cup. Jonas and Rafa scored the goals from the Eagles, in an evening marked by the return of Krovinovic, 10 months after picking up an injury.

“It was a very important win, a spectacular return! It is not easy to go through to the next round in the Cup, we sealed our spot in the next round and now we have to look ahead”, claimed the Eagles' number 20.

“It was a very special return for me, the first match after a long absence and at this Stadium. I want to thank all the people who encouraged me in this long journey: doctors, coaches, teammates, family, supporters… everybody supported me”, he added in statements to BTV.

How did you feel on the pitch?

“I felt really good! It was 45 minutes of great satisfaction. I was very happy and now I have to move on”, he claimed.

“It was not easy! I felt some pressure because it is not easy to play as a starter. But I am used to it. I am a professional player for many years and this is my job”, revealed Krovinovic.
