A weekend of intense emotions for the Handball team! SL Benfica faced the Icelandic team of Hafnarfjordur, in the 2nd qualifying round of the EHF Cup, having won the two legs of the tie( 37-32 in the 1st leg), thus moving forward in the competition.

 Despite a good response from the opponent, Benfica managed the match with intelligence until the end. Triumph by 31-34 and passport sealed for the next round.

Benfica's starting XI: Hugo Figueira, Belone Moreira, Paulo Moreno, Nuno Grilo, Carlos Martins, Patrianova and João Pais.
