Calendar of the senior football competitions is already set

The Portuguese Football Federation has released the official competition calendar for the new season. The men's 2019/20 football season starts on August 4 (Super Cup) and ends on May 24 (Portuguese Cup final).

Matchday 1 of the Liga NOS is scheduled for the weekend of August 10 and 11 (Saturday and Sunday) and the end of the Championship is scheduled for May 17, 2020.

According to the calendar, in the weekend of December 28 and 29, there will not be any Liga NOS match (which returns on January 5). Therefore, round 14 of the Liga NOS will be played on December 15.

The Portuguese Cup starts on the first day of September and ends on May 24, 2020, with the final at the Estádio do Jamor.

The League Cup has the first matches of the 2^nd phase planned for September 25 and 26, while the final four is scheduled for the period between January 21 and 25, 2020.

Regarding the Champions League, the start of the group stage is scheduled for September 17 and 18 and its ending will take place on December 10 and 11.

The 2^nd Division also begins on August 11 and ends on May 17.

In the women’s category, the 2019/20 season starts on September 8 (Sunday) with the Super Cup.

The start of the National Championship is scheduled for September 15 (Sunday) and the end will take place on May 22. In between, there is the Portuguese Cup, which ends with the Jamor final on the last weekend of May 2020 (May 30).
