The hockey players from Sport Lisboa e Benfica will represent their national teams in the competition also know as Nations Cup. The competition takes place between April 17 and 21, in the Swiss city of Montreux.

Angola, Switzerland, and Spain, coached by the current coach of Benfica, Alejandro Domínguez, will be the opponents of the Portuguese national squad in the group stage. The other group, apart from Argentina, features Italy, France and the team of Montreux HC.
