Jota: "To make the debut at Estádio da Luz was overwhelming"

Jota has completed the first minutes in the National Championship. The young forward spoke about the victory over Chaves (4-0) in Round 23 of Liga NOS.

"To debut in the Championship with the Benfica jersey, the club of my heart, in a home win in front of our supporters is overwhelming. The strongest feeling was in my first appearance [victory against Sertanense (3-0) in the Portuguese Cup, today I was a bit nervous, but everything turns easier after the first step and the first run, we forget about everything and we just want to play", said to BTV.

This Monday (February 25), Jota replaced Pizzi at 81'.

"We started very well, we had a good strategy, after that we controlled the match and we still managed to score another one [ Jonas, at 90']. It was a solid performance and now it is time to start the preparation for the next match [against FC Porto], which is very important", he concluded.
