Liga NOS: X-ray of GD Chaves

Benfica secured qualification for the Europa League Last 16 (they will face Dinamo Zagreb) and now turn their attention to matchday 23 of the Liga NOS where they will lock horns with GD Chaves, at 9:15 pm this Monday, at Estádio da Luz.

Currently in the 17th place, with 19 points, the team from Trás-os-Montes carried out several changes in the quad in the January transfer market. However, the changes started sometime before, in December.

The coach Tiago Fernandes started his tenure as Chaves' head coach on December 15, against Moreirense. In 12 matches, he clinched four wins. Among the players who came in and players who left the squad, highlight for Marcão, Stephen Eustáquio, Perdigão and Avto, footballers who were heavily used until January, who are in the top spots of the team's rankings but are no longer at Chaves; Costinha and Erdem Sen, are new signings coming from V. Setúbal and Ankaragücü, respectively
