The striker arrives from Boavista and will compete in the U19, U23 and B teams of Benfica.
24 January 2019, 10h09
Domingos’ son – former striker of FC Porto and of the National Team – and Gonçalo Paciência’s brother, the Benfica’s new signing represented the “axadrezados” and had been working with the club’s first team. Was called for three Liga NOS matches (did not play) and the coach, Jorge Simão, praised him in public.
“Vasco Paciência will be a serious case. The people of my generation remember Domingos and there is a resemblance in the way he plays, he has the same characteristics. In addition, he has a strong mental structure.”
The youngster has done all of his training period at FC Porto, playing also for Padroense (U16) and Dragon Force (U14). This season, playing for Boavista, completed 12 games and scored six times in the U19 National Championship.
Vasco Paciência was called for the first time to the National teams at the beginning of 2019, for a training camp at Cidade do Futebol, with the U19’s.
