Pizzi: “We are in the fight and we are strong”

Santa Clara and Sport Lisboa e Benfica locked horns, this Friday evening, in a game from matchday 17 of the Liga NOS. At the Estádio de São Miguel, a fair triumph for the Eagles by 0-2, with goals from Seferovic and Jardel.

Pizzi did not scored, made an assist and put in another great performance, having been named the man of the match. With seven assists, the Eagles' number 21 has strengthened the title of king of assists in the Portuguese Championship.

At the end of the match, the Portuguese midfielder analyzed the main incidences and highlighted the moment of the group.

“It was a great match, we entered the game very strong since the first moment. We knew we were going to face a great team which is doing an amazing campaign, which is always tough to beat at home, but we entered very strong, with personality, having ball possession and being aggressive”, he started by saying.

When asked to comment on the team's moment, Pizzi is emphatic!

“Benfica is not different, we have a great team, with player of huge quality. Obviously, things were not going the way we wanted them to, so now we have to highlight the great match from the whole team. I want to praise these amazing fans. They were also the ones who drove us to this good victory. We are in the fight, we are strong, and we want to stay that way”, he finished.
