It has been symptomatic! Caixa Futebol Campus continues to produce talents and the have been several debuts in the first team and in different competitions.

Rui Vitória has been investing in the youngster made in Seixal and the opportunities have arisen. No matter the age or nationality... If you have quality, you have quality!

João Carvalho is at Benfica since the academy teams and, after a loan spell at Vitória de Setúbal (in the second half of 2016/17), he returned to the reds where he has been growing and stablishing himself.

Overall, with the debut of the 20-year-old youngster native from Castanheira de Pêra, there are 11 players who have graduated from the academy of Sport Lisboa e Benfica and with the quality label of Caixa Futebol Campus who have made their debut in the Champions League by the hand of Rui Vitória.

You know who they were? The goalkeepers Ederson and Bruno Varela; the defenders Rúben Dias, Nélson Semedo and Lindelof; the midfielders Diogo Gonçalves, Renato Sanches, Gonçalo Guedes, João Carvalho and André Horta; and the forward José Gomes.
