Benfica says goodbye to 2017 with six matches and opens 2018 against Sporting

After the first "clássico" of the season (0-0 away at FC Porto, in matchday 13 of the Liga NOS, Benfica turn their attention to the six commitments they have left in 2017 and which are from four different competitions: Champions League, Portuguese Cup and CTT League Cup, apart from the championship.

The six-match cycle to be played in December starts on December 5^th, Tuesday, at 7:45 pm, at Estádio da Luz, with the home game against Basel, in matchday 6 of the Champions League Group stage, to close the participation in the UEFA competition.

On December 9^th, Saturday, once again at Estádio da Luz, at 6:15 pm, Benfica faces Estoril, in matchday 14 of the Liga NOS, with the unprecedented fifth title in a row in their own hands.

In the middle of the following week, more specifically on December 13^th, Wednesday, the reds will enter the pitch in Vila do Conde to face Rio Ave in the Round of 16 of the Portuguese Cup. The kick-off is scheduled for 9:00 pm.

Switching once again the focus to the Liga NOS, the eagles travel to Beira Alta with the objective of getting the three points away at Tondela. The encounter of matchday 15 is scheduled for December 17^th, Sunday, at 8:15 pm.

The final standings of the CTT League Cup begin to take shape on December 20^th, Wednesday.

After the draw against Braga (1-1) in the first round of the Group A, Benfica hosts Portimonense at Estádio da Luz, at 7:45 pm. in the second round. It is the last match before the Christmas break.

The third and last round of the group stage of the CTT League Cup, for Benfica, will take place on December 29^th, Friday, at Estádio do Bonfim, against Vitória de Setúbal. The initial whistle is scheduled for 9:15 pm.
