Jonas: "The "classic" is spectacle of the Portuguese football, it will be a great match"

Jonas was considered the Man of the Match in the game between Benfica and V. Setúbal regarding the matchday 12 of the Liga NOS. The goal scorer was the most voted by the internauts through the Official Facebook Page of the Club.

With another brace (39’ and 66’), the number 10 jersey contributed for the team's biggest win in the current edition of the championship (6-0), surpassing the 100 goals scored for Benfica in all competition. 

“It was 100 goals with this jersey, at a great Club. A dream that is being fulfilled and I'm very happy. I'm well cared here and this night was very special for me and for all, that will stay forever”, confessed Jonas, speaking to BTV. With a header in the 39th minute, the Brazilian celebrated for the one hundredth time playing for Benfica.

About the 90 minutes played against V. de Setúbal (6-0), Jonas stated that the Four-time champions entered the game with a lot of power and made a very positive performance. “A very good evaluation, since the start of the match looking to get a good result.  We entered the game on the front foot thinking about the opponent and closing them down. We scored two goals in the first half and then, with the sent-off [from Nuno Pinto], we had more space and we played with integrity.

Forecasting the derby against FC Porto, that will take place on Friday, December 1st, at Dragão, Jonas foresees a good match and hopes all the Benfiquistas enjoy the show.

“The "classic" is a big spectacle of the Portuguese football. I hope everyone enjoys it, that all the viewers may be following this match. It will be a great match and who wins with that is the Portuguese football", said Pistolas, about the game from matchday 13 of Liga NOS.
