“It was a disputed match, against one of the best teams in Europe. Our team's attitude pleased me a lot. Many chances to score were created, we did not score and we suffered two weird goals", regretted Rui Vitória, after the 2-0 at the Old Trafford.

“But we were a determined and convict team, in a difficult stadium", added the coach.

About the continuity of Benfica in the European competitions – Champions League or Europe League –, Rui Vitória said he believes on the team's chances.

“We know that we have the capacity to win the next two matches. There are six points to achieve, the situation it's not easy, but there's an open door for the two competitions and we'll work hard for that", he concluded.
