Ederson, Lindelöf and Bernardo Silva in the most expensive line-up of the season.
20 July 2017, 15h52
The talent clearly grows at Caixa Futebol Campus. Nevertheless, when it is highlighted by the international press, the focus is different.
So it was with the prestigious French newspaper "L´Equipe", which created the most expensive line-up of the season. With the headline “The most expensive line-up of the transfer market”, this sports newspaper chooses three names made in Caixa Futebol Campus... to the World!
Ederson: The Brazilian goalkeeper joined Manchester City for 40M and in the position he is only beaten by Buffon. Strong with the feet, with a remarkable shot, capable of sending the ball right to the opposite goal. He arrived at Benfica with the age of 16, in 2009/10.
On the defense: Victor Lindelöf. He was Ederson's teammate and now will be his rival. He was transferred to Manchester United with a 35M deal. The Swedish international – won the U21 European Cup in 2015 – leaved Benfica after two fantastic seasons. Fast, a good header and strong in the ball control. He arrived at Benfica in 2012/13, coming from Vasteras.
Bernardo Silva is one of the most expensive in the line-up. After a remarkable season at Mónaco, the French champion, he joined Manchester City, where he is going to play with Ederson. Trained in Seixal, the talented left-footed arrived at Benfica in 2007/08 and his talent was early detected by Chalana, who called him “Messizinho do Seixal” (The Mini-Messi from Seixal)
Other talents from Seixal
The last one to leave was Nélson Semedo, to Barcelona (30,5M), but if we look back we can remember other names such as Oblak (Atlético de Madrid), André Gomes (Barcelona), Renato Sanches (FC Bayern), Gonçalo Guedes (PSG) or João Cancelo (Valência).
This is the way; this is our path. Many more will shine, in the future, in the European Football.
