In a ceremony held at Terminal de Cruzeiros do Porto de Leixões, in Matosinhos, in addition to calendar's draw, there were awarded the best of the 2016/17 season, with Benfica winning four categories.

Rui Vitória (best coach), Nélson Semedo (revelation player), Pizzi (best player) and Ederson (who joined Manchester City, considered as the best goalkeeper).

“This award is individual but it reflects the collective work of a fantastic team. Symbolizes the end of a phase and the beginning of a new path", said Rui Vitória.

"It's a pride to get this award. I want to thank my teammates, coaching staff and all the supporters", said the right defender Nélson Semedo.

“I'm very happy. I want to thank my teammates for helping me to win this award and the supporters", said Ederson.

"It is very gratifying to get this individual award, after so many collective trophies", said the best player, Pizzi.
