Pedro Silva Iuri Tavares sign professional deals

Pedro Silva, 16-year old midfielder (26.03.2002), and Iuri Tavares, 17 year-old forward (08.03.2001), have signed professional contracts with Sport Lisboa e Benfica until 2021.

Born in Madeira, Pedro Silva has completed his first season at Benfica, after playing for CD Nacional, his only club before signing with the eagles.

The U16 midfielder counts with 13 caps with the Portuguese National teams: five with the U15s and eight with the U160s, and two goals scored.

In 2017/18, Pedro Silva played with the U16 team, participated in 18 matches and scored seven times.

On the other hand, Iuri Tavares, the U17 striker, takes already eight seasons with the club. He arrived in 2010/11, at the age of nine. Before that, he played at Valejas (futsal).

Iuri Tavares played in all Benfica’s youth teams until this moment and, in 2015/16, he became a U15 National Champion. In 2017/18, with the U17s, has played 13 matches and scored three goals.
