2018 Benfica Gala

This Wednesday, in the 2018 Benfica Gala, which was held at Coliseu dos Recreios, in Lisbon, were presented the Cosme Damião Awards, prizes that pay tribute to those who have stood out the most over the last year. The Official Site followed everything live.

The winner of the Footballer of the Year Award is… Jonas!

Jonas is called onto the stage and he invited all is teammates to join him.

The winner of the Partner of the Year Award is… NOS!

The winner of the Merit and Dedication Award is… Paulino Gomes Júnior!

The winner of the High-Performance Athlete Award is… Marlene Sousa! 

In the 2016 Roller Hockey World Cup, she was named the best player of the competition, winning the Gold Medal! With Benfica's jersey, she has already won an European League, 3 National Championships, 3 Portuguese Cups and 3 Super Cups!

The winner of the "Casas do Benfica" Award is… Algueirão – Mem Martins! 

The winner of the Others Sports Award is… The Women's Futsal team!

The winner of the Innovation Award is… Kick Up Sports Innovation!

The first musical award of the evening. The Benfiquistas João Gil and Carlão take on the stage. “125 Azul”, from Trovante, was the chosen theme.

To celebrate the 114^th anniversary of Sport Lisboa e Benfica – founded on February 28^th, 1904 –, it is time to award those who have stood out the most during a season filled with achievements. In total, there are 29 nominees distributed by six categories: Revelation, Youth Training, Other Sports, High-Performance Athlete, Coach of the Year and Footballers of the Year.
