Between Friday and Sunday, Luís Filipe Vieira, the president of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, will have very booked days with institutional events.

On February 23, at 7:00 pm, he will be present at the  "Casa do Benfica" in Braga for the official inauguration of the new facilities of the space dedicated to the supporters. In Alto Minho, with the leader of the eagles, will be the vice-president, Domingos Almeida Lima. This will be followed by a dinner in the restaurant Quinta do Girassol.

Two days later i will take place, at the Pavilion n. º of Luz, at 10:00 am, the Platinum Rings and Dedication Emblems Award Ceremony. In this day full of "Benfiquismo" one celebrates the associativism, cherishing the connection with the Club members.

The club members with 75 years of membership will be rewarded with the Platinum Ring, the club members with 50 years of connection to Benfica receive the Gold Emblem and those and those who reach 25 years of membership receive Silver Emblem.

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.

A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
